Criminal Law

Criminal Law

Whether you are wrongfully charged, made a mistake, or otherwise just need a second chance, Attorney Ryan Allison can help you.

The criminal process is quite complicated, so when a person is faced with criminal charges, trying to understand what to expect can feel overwhelming.

Criminal defense lawyers do much more than the average person realizes.  While they argue fiercely for their clients in the courtroom, it is the services outside of the courtroom that people charged with crimes immediately require. It is very important for people who have been recently arrested to talk to a criminal defense attorney as soon as possible.

Ryan Allison is a highly experienced criminal defense lawyer who has represented defendants ranging from those charged with simple misdemeanors to those charge with serious felonies.

Why should I hire Ryan Allison?

Ryan has been handling criminal cases his entire career. He has helped obtain acquittals for clients in all types of cases ranging from murder to simple misdemeanors. He learned from one of the best criminal lawyers in the state and has represented clients in nearly every county in the eastern half of the Kentucky.

Can't I just use the Public Defender?

Absolutely, if you financially qualify.  Public Defenders are state employees who are appointed to represent people charged with crimes.  The main obstacle public defenders face is the large amount of clients that they have at any given time.  Dozens if not hundreds of defendants have to share their public defender’s time and attention.  If you want an attorney who will give your case the individual attention it deserves, call Ryan Allison at 859-498-1283.  There is never a fee to talk and get your questions answered.

What if coming up with both bond money and a lawyer's fee is too difficult?

You should never have to come up with both at the same time.  Ryan Allison will work with you to make sure that you can get a bond posted first.  If you can, then you can assign the attorney’s fee to be paid out of that bond when the case is over.  You have enough problems to worry about at this point.  The focus should be on the case, not coming up with money.

No matter how serious the charge, Ryan Allison will:
  • Spend crucial time on your case and fight for your Constitutionally protected rights.
  • Request the lowering of the client’s bond or bail, trying to get the client released from jail while the case is pending.
  • Immediately request production of the evidence that is expected to be brought against the defendant.
  • Provide the client with a knowledgeable perspective on his or her situation and what is likely to happen should the case go to trial.
  • Stay in touch with you and your family and always keep you informed.
There is never a fee to discuss your case

If you have questions about a case, call (859) 498-1283.  Ryan Allison can explain to you your charges, what the penalty range is, what your options are, and discuss with you fees and payment options.
